This page is here to give advice to new students and parents/guardians seeking music tuition. The below is a guide only. Please contact Georgina directly for your specific inquiry.
1. What ages do you teach students?
Georgina offers tuition to students as young as 4 years old upto adults at all stages of learning. Students aged under 18 years must have parent/guardian’s permission before starting lessons. Children aged under 4 require a trial class to check suitability for learning for their age. Contact Georgina to discuss your requirements further.
2. Can students take exams?
Students can progress towards exams for their chosen instrument. Parents should only enter students with tutor’s permission. View Georgina’s students exam results by clicking here.
3. Can parents/guardians stay and watch lessons?
Parents are welcome to attend classes at any time. This may suit younger learners who are just starting to learn an instrument.
4. What type of lessons are offered and are suitable to my inquiry?
For a young beginner student up to 11 years old a 30 minute 1-1 lesson is an ideal time frame.
For students aged 11 years to 15/16years old and who have been playing previously (may have taken/worked towards exams also) a longer 1-1 lesson may be more suitable of 45 minutes.
For students who are over 16 years old an hours 1-1 lesson is recommended.
5. Where do I find an instrument and what size do I need?
Local music shops in your area can provide instruments to buy and also to hire. Georgina can offer some instruments to hire. Further information can be sent to you – please send your inquiry for lessons by clicking here.
